Planet friendly home gardens for everyone

You want a beautiful home garden, but you don't know where to start.

What flowers, shrubs, or trees will grow best in your soil or lighting conditions? Which ones will be low-maintenance? What can you grow that'll benefit the local ecosystem by bringing in pollinators and birds?

DIY isn’t as easy as it seems. Maybe you can't find what you want in the big box stores or your choices don't bloom where they were planted. Perhaps you've even looked into landscape designers, but you're not ready to shell out that kind of money. Or, maybe you want to develop this hobby for yourself. Blooms to Bees garden coaching can help.

About Blooms to Bees

I'm Julie, and I'm a bit of a plant nut. I've been gardening since I was little, preferring outside chores and performing them admirably alongside my dad and my grandfather.

Since then, I've gone (mostly) grass-free and planted natives on my own property, and I've helped others do the same. I have a certificate in Landscape and Garden Design from Phipps Conservatory and I’ve taken classes in garden design and horticulture from Mt. Cuba Center and Penn State Extension.

I picked the name Blooms to Bees because that’s my goal. More native flowers means more pollinators, and by extension, a healthier habitat and a stronger food web. What we plant in our own yards can improve the environment we live in, whether it's by helping the watershed or by attracting birds and bees, or just by providing a tranquil atmosphere so that you actually enjoy being outside.

Let me help you get your flower garden into the ground!
